About me and my therapy practice
Successful counselling is built on a quality therapeutic relationship. I build that relationship by treating everything we talk about as confidential, being honest, genuine, respectful and non-judgemental. This will enable trust between us and in the counselling process. This will enable you to explore your feelings and thoughts at your own pace and in a safe space.
Counselling helps find solutions to, and provide relief from negative feelings, life difficulties and problems. Counselling can help by identifying and changing ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour providing new options in how you live. It can give you the opportunity to off load your concerns and experience relief from those worries. My approach is to work with you and find the way that benefits you most.
I have experience of working with a wide variety of client difficulties including anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and self-confidence to stress and work related difficulties as well as addiction/compulsion difficulties like substances, alcohol, sex and porn. My experience covers working with people directly affected and their relatives.

About me and my therapy practice
Integrative Therapy
This type of counselling brings together different approaches, tailored to you and helps address a range of issues more effectively than using only one type of counselling. If you wish to know more or have a question about working in a specific way, please do get in touch.
My approach to therapy is to provide you with the trust and freedom to talk about what is happening to you. I treat everything said as confidential. I am honest, respectful and understanding and I aim to help you find the solutions you need or want and work on how to achieve those. I work with all clients inclusively.
Successful counselling is built on a quality therapeutic relationship. I build that relationship by treating everything we talk about as confidential, being honest, genuine, respectful and non-judgemental.
Working integratively means I can use different ways to help you achieve a positive outcome. This can include tools such as CBT, REWIND or Solution Focused Brief Therapy techniques.
I work with you as an individual, made up of your own experiences, behaviours, thoughts and feelings. Whilst others may have gone through similar events to you, no one has experienced it in exactly the same way.
The starting point is to build a strong relationship by ensuring everything is to benefit you and by being honest. I treat everything as confidential, save for a few exceptions that are very rare, and I do not disclose anything you talk about
Practice description
Are you worried about your relationships or your behaviours or maybe you’re just not feeling right? Have your family told you they are concerned about you? Are things overwhelming or coming on top? Do you want to feel happier or start feeling better than you do now? If you’d like to find out how it can change, please get in touch to arrange a free call to have a chat about how I can help.
I am passionate about helping people overcome challenges and lead a more satisfying and content life. I have many years of experience assisting people to find solutions to what life throws up. I offer a free 20-minute introduction to help you decide if you want to work with me and ask any questions you may have

My first session
I offer a free, no obligation initial assessment session of around 20 minutes. This is usually conducted on the phone or online. It enables us to establish an initial rapport and can be used to find out what is going on and how I can help. It also gives you the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have and decide whether you would like to work with me.
Please get in touch and this can be arranged and discussed as needed.
