About me and my therapy practice
Are you not coping with the demands of day-to-day life? Not feeling good enough or that your behaviours are too much maybe? Struggling with a recent ADHD diagnosis or how to cope while waiting for support. Feeling stressed and overwhelmed all the time is no fun and exhausting.
I can support you to explore and address your issues working towards a more content future.
My Approach:
My professional training, experience in my work roles, along with my personal journey enable me to effectively assist individuals in navigating challenges related to neurodiversity.
I am a Integrative Counsellor, incorporating aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Brief Therapy into my practice
My main focus is person-centered and strength-based approach, creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences. This can help us uncover the underlying factors contributing to your current challenges and recognize your strengths. Yes we all have them, even if we can't see them right now.
With Motivational Interviewing, we'll dive into what really gets you going, what motivates you to make changes in your life. I'll be there to listen and ask questions, so we can figure out what steps will lead you to success.
CBT is all about digging into your thoughts and behaviours. Together, we'll challenge any negative stuff that's holding you back and find better ways to cope with life's ups and downs.
And when we need to get right to the point, Brief Therapy comes into play. It's about finding practical solutions and working on specific issues.
My personal belief is there is no 'one size fits all' approach. There are many different approaches to counselling but all aim to reduce personal suffering and facilitate personal growth. According to research, the therapist-client relationship is the most important factor in successful therapy.
