About me and my therapy practice

My name is Harriet Schofield and I really believe in the potential for counselling to change lives.

More than I in 4 people access counselling or psychotherapy at some point in their lives (BACP, 2014), therefore if you are unhappy or life feels like a struggle, you are not alone. I understand how frightening it can be to feel stuck and like there is no way out, but I want you to know that if you are ready for things to change, then they can, however difficult things are feeling now.

I have experience of working with a wide range of adults, children and young people who are struggling in life; with anxiety, depression, relationship and family problems, low self-esteem, anger and bereavement among other challenges. I also offer sessions for students training to be counsellors.

I have seen the power counselling has to change lives and I look forward to discussing how it can help you.

Please feel free to send me an email to arrange a free 15 minute video chat where I'm happy to answer your questions and you can see if working with me feels right for you before booking an initial session.
