About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel weighed down by worry, stress and the demands of your life? Do you feel anxious, or depressed or low, or unmotivated and like you have lost the best part of you? Maybe you feel like you have never been able to discover the best part of you? Do you have unwanted thoughts, memories or images which you can't keep out of your mind? Are you worried about not being in the right relationship, or the right job? Do you feel confused about your feelings or unsure of the right decision to make? Do you feel like you have lost hope? You might feel lonely and unable to talk to family or friends about how you feel.
I can help you to feel less alone with your problems. I am easy to talk to, and will support you to talk and reflect on your issues, whether you come to see me in person, or we work online or over the telephone. I have 15 years experience of helping people find their own way to manage what is troubling them. I treat you as a whole person, and offer you a caring, professional relationship in which to explore your feelings.
Whatever your issues, if you are on this site, you are probably looking for a place to offload, someone to talk to who cares and doesn't judge, and support to figure out what you want to do. Sometimes it is hard to ask for help, to admit you are struggling. I get it! Don't struggle alone any longer. Take that step - contact me now for a consultation.
Practice description
I offer face to face or online sessions.
My first session
I offer an initial consultation session at £45, so that we can talk more about what your needs, and why you are looking for therapy. This session gives you a no-obligation chance to see whether you feel comfortable with me and how I work, and to think about how you might get the most out of sessions with me. It also offers me the opportunity to check that I have the necessary skills and experience to work with you.
In the unlikely event that I decide I am not qualified or otherwise able to work with you, I will waive the charge for this session.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer a creative, person centred/integrative approach to Supervision. I have over 14 years experience of supervising trainee and qualified counsellors and therapists in private practice, voluntary sector organisations, school and higher education and NHS primary care services.
I collaborate with my supervisees to develop a trusting, safe and creative supervisory relationship, in which client work and related personal issues can be explored openly and supportively.
I have a broad range of therapeutic experience, having worked with clients with the usual range of issues. My specialist fields are working with survivors of sexual abuse and violence, bereavement and loss and relationship issues, and I also have a background working in Higher Education mental health provision.
I see supervisees as colleagues in need of a second pair of eyes and ears. I enjoy sharing ideas and best practice, and also sharing the joys and challenges of working in the different settings therapists and counsellors find themselves in today.
My therapy training was primarily Person Centred, and my supervision training was based on this approach, and included creative and psycho-dramatic techniques. I have an interest in techniques and ideas from a range of different therapeutic approaches, and would describe my current approach as Person-Centred, Creative and Integrated.
