About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified Counsellor with 14 years' experience working with adults, teens (13+) and couples; I specialise in depression, anxiety, loss, relationship issues and addictions. I offer a FREE introductory 30 min session.
I am trained as a Humanistic Counsellor and my therapeutic approach is based on Person-Centred Therapy, and I use Solution-Focused interventions in my work with clients.
Counselling is a process of self-discovery that gives you an opportunity to change.
My role as a therapist is to provide a non-judgemental, confidential, warm and empathic environment where you are able to explore your difficulties and feel motivated to make the necessary changes to enjoy life that is fulfilled and purposeful.
As a registered member of the BACP I am guided by and work within their Ethical Framework.
I have an Honours Degree in Counselling from the University of Greenwich (2012) and I have extensive experience working in private practice as well as in the public sector.
Practice description
My practice is based in Fleet, Hampshire in a comfortable, safe, calm and private setting in my home; I offer face-to-face and online sessions.
During our sessions our main focus will be on your current difficulties and the every-day struggles you are experiencing and how these are impacting your self-confidence, relationships, personal and professional development, health and other aspects of your life.
We will also look into your past experiences to gain a deeper understanding of you and how you see yourself and the world around you.
An important part of therapy will also be exploring your future - what your hopes and dreams are and what steps you need to take to achieve these.
My first session
I offer an introductory session that is FREE OF CHARGE; this is 30 minutes long and will give you an opportunity to meet me in person and to experience the setting I work in; this will allow you to decide if I am the right therapist for you.
You will be able to tell my why you are looking for counselling and what you hope to achieve.
I will tell you how I work and what you can expect from the counselling process.
You will also be able to ask me any questions you may have.
