About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling out of sorts; can’t quite put your finger on what’s ‘wrong’?
Fed up of people-pleasing and living your life to please others?
Can't keep a lid on those boxes any longer, but scared of feeling overwhelmed and out of control?
You're not alone, and you're in the right place to find help and support.
We are all unique, so it's important to find a therapist you can learn to trust and feel comfortable with. A space that creates emotional and physical safety. Freedom to say whatever you want - yes it's fine to swear! A non-judgemental environment where you feel truly heard and be yourself. Humour is also important.
Progress varies from person to person depending on what you bring. We move at your own pace, you're in control.
Using a combination of counselling and coaching, we will work together, collaboratively. Therapy is not about me 'fixing you', or giving you advice and opinions. I will however, help you to gain insights and make better sense of your thoughts and feelings by sharing tools and models, as well as challenging unhelpful patterns.

Practice description
I offer online, face-to-face and phone sessions.
Online sessions are via Zoom, WhatsApp or FaceTime.
Face-to-face sessions are from my therapy room in East Haddon.
Walk and Talk sessions are also available, depending on suitability and location.
My first session
It's important you find the right therapist for you where you are able to build a trusting and safe relationship, so that you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings.
I offer a complementary, initial half hour session to discuss what you may want to work on, how we might work together, and answer any questions you may have. We can then decide whether I am the right counsellor for you and there is no obligation to return.
Should you decide you want to work with me, then subsequent sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration, typically on a weekly basis, but we can discuss frequency when we speak. It is impossible to know how many sessions you may want/need as everyone is different and we can review this on an ongoing basis.
You are not obliged to sign up for a set number of sessions; some clients decide after a couple of sessions they are not ready yet and others may continue therapy for months or years; it's entirely up to you.
We will also agree a therapeutic contract for working together.

About me and my therapy practice
Increase your connection to nature through experiential and creative workshops that support both therapists and clients.
Nature as Co-Therapist is a workshop for therapists who want to work safely and ethically with their client's in nature. Highly experiential and pragmatic, this 1 day workshop focuses on your own connection to nature and how to contract and risk assess working with clients outdoors.
NARTure is a 1 day workshop that looks at how you can get creative with nature. Whether it's just for your own enjoyment or something you want to introduce to your client work, this will get you connecting with nature in a deeper way as you begin to see it in a way you never have before. This is a hands-on creative day where you'll forage in nature and get creative to produce your own artwork from a choice of mediums including clay, printing, sculpture and cyanotype plus more! This is suitable for everyone, you don't have to be a therapist to participate!

About me and my therapy practice
I work with trainees, newly qualified and experienced supervisees, working with clients with diverse presenting issues. I also work with school pastoral and safeguarding teams.
My supervision style has been called ‘nurturing’; holding a safe space for both you and your clients. I also bring humour to our work! I use coaching questions so that you can grow and develop and I'm always learning from my supervisees too!
I find many supervisees focus on what they could have done differently so I like to give space for recognising the positive client work you’re doing also!
My purpose is to help individuals realise their potential so I love my supervision work.
I'm a practising Counsellor; I believe it is important for me to working with my own clients as this keeps me relevant and up to date on current practices.
My background in business and having my own private practice means I can also support you in setting up and running yours too!
I'm person-centred trained, but consider myself to be more integrative and supervise many different modalities.
I have an OCN Certificate in Counselling Supervision which is a recognised certificate by educational institutions, so along with my experience this means I meet the criteria required to supervise trainees.
I'm also an Accredited Member of the BACP, so having been through the process myself I am able to support any supervisees wishing to go for accreditation themselves.
I also have experience of representing under 18s at Child Protection Conferences.
I’m an NLP Practitioner and have been the Managing Director of a learning and development company, so understand the pressures and challenges of the working environment.
I also offer nature therapy.
I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, have professional indemnity insurance and I have regular supervision.
Practice description
I currently offer face to face and online supervision.
Supervision is an investment in you and I hope that when we meet you will see my fees reflect the service I provide.
As an accredited therapist this means I have demonstrated that my practice has met the BACP's higher standards as a competent, ethical and independent practitioner.
I continue to invest heavily in my own ongoing development and my background in learning and development means I bring additional insight and opportunity for growth. I bring a holistic approach to our work, which I sincerely hope will benefit you in many ways.
