Hi, My name is Keith Fernandes and I’m a fully qualified counsellor currently working in private practice. I provide a calm and grounded environment in which you can safely explore the difficulties you are experiencing. Working together on agreed goals we will hopefully build a strong working relationship which will help to empower you, gain a greater self understanding and enable you to make positive changes in your life.
Practice description
I practice using the relational approach. This simply means that the basis of my approach focuses on the importance of the relationship between you the client and I the counsellor. By building a strong working relationship, we will create the vehicle through which change will occur. It is through relationships with others that we encounter difficulties and it is in these same relationships that we can affect positive change. By helping you explore the difficulties you are experiencing I will help you gain a greater self understanding, which will empower you to make the changes you want to positively affect your life.
My first session
It can be difficult choosing a counsellor as there are so many to choose from and where do you start? For this reason, I offer a free 15min telephone consultation where you can ask any questions you may have. After that I offer a 30min initial meeting where we can discuss what you want to achieve in counselling and get a feeling of how it would be to work together. After that, we can then look at scheduling some regular sessions.
