About me and my therapy practice
Over the past 25 years I have gained a broad range of experience working with people from all walks of life, and from many cultures resulting in a good understanding of the requirements of both private individuals and corporate clients. My client base is broad and included everyone from factory workers to Professional footballer and actors. I feel it is important that a therapist can relate to their clients and this is something I excel at.
I offer my clients a quiet space where together we can work though the issues that are causing problems in their lives. In my role as a therapist I am completely non-judgemental and everything spoken about during the sessions is completely confidential. Remember you need not be alone in your struggles, I am here to help you.
In addition to face to face therapy I also offer online sessions on Zoom. I have found that working remotely can be just as effective as one-to-one therapy and is often the preferred choice for people who have busy working lives.
I know how difficult it is to make that first step to pick up the phone and ring a therapist. Take a risk and give me a call. I am happy to spend some time on the telephone with you in order to put your mind at ease and to begin to understand your problem. I look forward to hearing from you.
My first session
If you have never been to counselling or therapy before you may feel nervous and apprehensive. This is normal and people often find it a relief to say how they are feeling at the beginning of the session. You do not need to prepare in any particular way before you attend your session and once you arrive, anything you need to know will be explained to you.
Sessions typically last for 50 minutes. Clients usually book weekly sessions, depending on what is needed and their availability to attend.
You are very welcome to call and speak to me before you make your first appointment. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other a little, to briefly discuss what might be troubling you and to ask any questions you might have.
