About me and my therapy practice

I am a BPS chartered, BACP and HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist, committed to supporting individuals or couples navigate life's challenges and achieve emotional well-being. 

My Relational Integrative approach to therapy emphasises your unique needs and experiences, ensuring that our sessions are tailored to what works best for you. 

I am passionate about supporting clients to achieve their goals within a safe, non-judgemental environment. I work with diverse clients using evidence-based practices, including Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioural, Psychodynamic, and Interpersonal Neurobiological interventions. 

Practice description

With over 10 years of experience in healthcare, education, community, and private sectors, I offer a range of therapeutic services for various presenting needs.  I currently run my private practice, provide clinical supervision, and work as a Lecturer and Deputy Course Lead on MSc Psychology and Counselling at Birmingham City University. 

With all my clients, I aim to provide:

Tailored Therapy- Every individual is unique, and so is their path to healing. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to create a personalised plan that aligns with your goals and needs.

A Collaborative Relationship- Our work together is a partnership. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful tool for change, and I am here to support and guide you every step of the way.

Compassion- I offer a non-judgmental, safe and empathic environment, where you feel valued, heard and understood, facilitating growth and healing.

Trustworthiness- It is important that you feel comfortable with me and can trust me to be honest and genuine with you throughout our work. I pride myself on being transparent with my clients, even if this means having a difficult conversation or providing some gentle challenge where appropriate.

I currently offer online sessions via zoom, which can be arranged at a time that suits you.  If you are interested in working with me, I offer a free 10 minute telephone consultation before booking your initial session, to explore how I might support you and answer any questions that you may have about starting therapy.

I have worked in academia as a Lecturer for over five years alongside my private practice and am currently the Deputy Course Lead for MSc Psychology and Counselling.  I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my supervisory practice, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of my supervisees.  I am passionate about applying theory to practice and offer a unique insight into case conceptualisation and utilising research effectively. 

I aim to facilitate a deeper understanding of client experiences whilst fostering a supportive and growth-oriented supervisory environment. I am committed to nurturing the professional development of each supervisee, helping them to build confidence and competence in their clinical practice.  I have experience in completing progress reports as per the course requirements of students on professional training programmes.
