About me and my therapy practice
I help children and young people to feel better about themselves, their relationships and their future.
I support families to improve communication, manage conflict and develop understanding.
My work enables mums and dads to parent with confidence.
As an integrative practitioner, I am familiar with using a range of approaches including play, creative, CBT and systemic therapy. I have worked with children experiencing a wide range of problems including low mood, stress and anxiety, OCD, family separation and conflict, self-harm, eating problems, childhood trauma and bereavement.
I am an experienced child and adolescent counsellor and an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I have been working with children, young people and their families for over 10 years.
Having completed my masters training at the University of Cambridge I have furthered my knowledge through additional, specialist training in the areas of trauma and attachment. With qualifications in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDT) and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), I have worked with looked-after children who have complex histories of abuse and neglect.
I currently lecture at the University of Northampton on the Counselling Children and Young People Masters Programme.
