About me and my therapy practice
I am a professionally qualified, BACP registered psychotherapist, working with individuals who may struggle with a variety of issues. I offer a warm, supportive and safe environment where we can explore what is going on in your life. Working together we can look at the issues and find alternative ways of dealing with them.
I am sensitive to how difficult it might be to share things with a stranger, so I work to create an atmosphere of trust within the room. As the therapeutic work develops, hopefully it would become easier for you to share and further strengthen our relationship.
I have a number of years experience working with persons suffering from but not limited to, Anxiety, Depression, Family, Self-Esteem, Sexuality, Shame, Relationship Issues, Trauma and Workplace Stress.
I offer both short and long term therapy depending on your needs and circumstances.
My way of helping is not to tell you what is right or wrong or to direct you on what to do, no one is really qualified to do so. Instead, I offer a space for you to lay out your issues, work towards understanding what is going on and together we find a new way forward.
Working with me will allow you the space to express what is going on for you in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
I offer both In Person and Video sessions via Skype and FaceTime.
My first session
The first session is an initial consultation that will last up to 75 minutes at a cost of £120.00.
We will explore what brings you to therapy; your current situation and what you hope to achieve in it. We will also talk about your history, including your childhood, family, friends and other relationships.
The initial consultation will give you a feel for how I work and help you determine whether my approach is suitable for your needs. It also gives us both the opportunity to determine if we are a good fit to work together, it is not a guarantee to start therapy.
