I offer day time or evening time , online and in person supervision sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Integrative Clinical Supervisor, in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapy, providing supervision to both trainees and qualified therapists. I meet supervisees where they are, what developmental stage they are at;  they may be in training, newly qualified or experienced therapists I recognize their individual needs.

I remember my most valuable learning in my own clinical supervisions was when I am most authentic to myself, able to share my struggles in relation to clients openly with my supervisor and knowing that I would not be judged but fully supported by them. I offer a trusting and safe supervisory relationship to supervisees and encourage their growth through openness, curiosity, authenticity, knowledge and appropriate challenge.

I work flexibly, adapting to supervisees' theoretical framework and their context; supporting them towards integration of their chosen theoretical approach into their clinical practice therefore becoming more effective with their clients.

For experienced therapists, our reflective space would allow them to gain further insights into their relational dynamics within therapeutic relationships; focusing on the process would facilitate their self / other awareness, deepen quality of their work and their clinical practice.

I speak from experience. I have over 20 years of post-qualified clinical experiences in Counselling and Psychotherapy and have worked with children, adolescents, adults and families with complex needs. These lived experiences have provided me with insights and multiple lenses in understanding human suffering, their needs, struggles and conditions for healing and recovery.

As an integrative Supervisor, I believe I am well grounded in model of supervision theories like seven eyed model, developmental, cyclical, formative / normative / restorative models of supervision in understanding and supporting the therapists in their clinical practice.

Practice description

As a clinical supervisor my main approach is relational. Within containing and growth promoting relationships, I help supervisees to develop their own competence, autonomy, confidence, trusting their inner wisdom and sharpen their skills for ‘thinking on their feet’.

In my supervision sessions I offer non-judgmental, reflective and 'thinking space' which aims to support supervisees collaboratively with their ongoing development of therapeutic practice, especially complexities faced while working with their clients, like ethical dilemmas, safeguarding and child protection decisions, boundary issues, therapeutic interventions, relational raptures, etc.

Over the years, acquiring multiple psychotherapy trainings like MA in Integrative Child Psychotherapy, Diploma Humanistic and  Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, PG in Systemic Family Therapy, CBT, Trauma and Attachment Focused trainings, I have been able to develop robust integrative models which expand my understanding of a wide range of theoretical concepts and their applications into clinical practices.

I have been confidently able to support clinicians with different therapeutic schools and orientations, like humanistic Models TA, Gestalt, Existential, Person-Centred, and also I am able to use Psychodynamic schools of thoughts and concepts like attachment theories, unconscious communications- parallel processes transference, countertransference, projective identification- dynamics effectively in our supervision sessions.

In supervision sessions, I use creative art forms like drawing, painting and sand tray actively. I believe they provide reflective space for understanding the therapeutic process, therapist and client, supervisor dynamics, stuckness, resistance etc.

Ethical approach is the backbone of my supervisory relationships, I follow BACP (2018) Ethical framework for counselling professionals and Supervision Competence Framework in my clinical practice.

My first session

We will firstly hold a short phone consultation to discuss the practicalities of our first session including location, needs, fees etc.

In our initial supervision session, we would explore your hopes and expectations, training / theoretical orientation, developing supervisory alliance, identify your learning needs and clarify our roles and create a Contract collaboratively.

If agreed, we will setup a learning agreement clarifying accountability, responsibilities, safeguarding, data protection, boundaries, ground rules, confidentiality, fees etc.

Due to GDPR and GPA (2018) I keep my supervision notes minimum and confidential.
