About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Terry,
If this is your first time coming into therapy, welcome. I know it can be daunting, but please remember you’ve made a decision to help yourself and that is a massive step in itself.
I have been involved in counselling for over 11 years now, working with people of varying backgrounds with differing concerns, some more complex than others.
My main focus is on you and how we can work together to get you back on track.
Life these days can be very stressful, pressured, demanding, anxious and overwhelming on a daily basis without any other difficulties cropping up. No wonder we all need a little help every now and then I’d like to be that help.
The majority of my therapeutic career has been working with individuals suffering from one addiction or another, underneath these addictions they are weighed down by the struggles that affect many people. It is these struggles we have addressed that have helped them get back up on their feet, hold their head up high and begin to feel a useful and worthwhile part of society.
In my private practice, I have worked with clients bringing similar burdens that have finally been too much for them to carry alone anymore, clients generally present with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, unhealthy relationships, low self-worth, lack of self-identity, and a vast array of self-defeating conditions. As a result, my practice has evolved into a more holistic therapy, working deeply with empathy and encouraging self-compassion in my clients as a starting point for greater awareness, well-being, and personal growth
I offer a confidential, safe space for you to talk without fear of judgment. Somewhere where you can talk freely and truly express what is going on for you, with an aim for you to resolve the internal conflicts troubling you and move on with your life.
