About me and my therapy practice
My work reveals, it can be a lonely place for clients carrying the weight of circumstances on their own. Work and life pressures can, at times, feel insurmountable and talking with loved ones or friends, if you have them, isn’t always easy or enough. You might feel guilty, believing you are burdening them, and they can sometimes feel overwhelmed and powerless, wanting to help, but not knowing how.
Conversely, you may be on your own and have no one to talk to.
Then, speaking with a professional who knows nothing about you, can be a refreshing change. There’s no judgement of you; no need for guilt and no barriers to the topics brought. There is only conversation, exploration, and eventual transformation.
I am an Eclectic, Holistic, and Integrative Psychological and Therapeutic Counsellor. I work with a range of approaches and strategies specific to the client’s aims, goals and needs as they progress within the work. Since 1997, I have been supporting people to help themselves back to self-worth, confidence, autonomy, and happy lives.
I was working face-to-face until 2020, when I began working from home as a telephone counsellor. This work has proven to be far more dynamic than I could have realized. Due to the visual anonymity of telephone work, clients say it helps them to focus more on their issue(s).

About me and my therapy practice
In 2003, I gained an Advanced Certificate in Consultancy Supervision 2003 and work with trainee and qualified counsellors/therapists.
I work with the many approaches in my supervisory work as I do in my client work.
For further information and greater overview, please refer to my profile in the Counselling section.
Practice description
Primarily, supervision is a vital space for counsellors/therapists, whether trainee or qualified, to discuss their thoughts, feelings and concerns encountered during their work. The supervisor/supervisee relationship is an equal one, which the client/counsellor relationship is not. This is why supervision is paramount, for supervisors and supervisees alike, to achieving the best supportive work we can, with our clients, for their own ongoing self-support. Therefore, I work with the many approaches in my supervisory work as I do in my client work and have been doing so, for the last twenty-one years.
My first session
You can contact me either by email or phone. I do not pick up to unknown numbers, so please leave your name, number, and a brief message so I can return the call. Thank you.
