My Approach
Supervision
My service is delivered to individuals and groups from my counselling premises in Chertsey, as well as online, and draws on Hawkins and Shohet’s 7-Eyed Process Model of Counselling Supervision. Having worked with so many theoretical frameworks in the past, I place strong emphasis on exploring other ways of delivering therapy and encourage practitioners to adopt a more intersectional, affirmative, non-discriminatory approach that appreciates different backgrounds and orientations.
I head a supervision team for The Eikon Charity, a team of four supervisors who support the Youth Work Team to provide a high quality of service within schools in Surrey and the wider community. We also work with managers and fellow practitioners within the charity. The purpose of this service is for professionals to offer an account of their work, reflect on it, receive feedback, and be provided with guidance that helps them to give the best possible service to their clients, gaining greater ethical competence and confidence in the process.
