About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative psychotherapist who trained at the Metanoia Institute in London. I am a member of the BACP, a trained clinical supervisor and I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I have over 20 years’ experience as a therapist in private practice, employee assistance programmes, education and the voluntary sector. Alongside my private practice, I have held the post of counsellor/coordinator in an inner city further and higher education college, working with students and staff. Originally from an academic background in comparative literature, I draw from the humanistic and the psychodynamic tradition to help clients explore, understand and move beyond their sometimes limiting and painful life stories. I am Italian, fluent in English, conversant in French, and have worked with a wide variety of clients from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, age, sexualities and disabilities. I have a special interest in trauma, narrative and the arts as well as in the way in which cultural norms and social expectations affect our sense of self and wellbeing. I have had further specialist training in Somatic Trauma Therapy, CBT have has extensive experience working with young adults.
