About me and my therapy practice
I have been practising as a psychotherapist for over 20 years. I provide brief and open-ended counselling and psychotherapy on a once and twice a week basis. I have been part of a mental health team for the NHS in both primary care and outpatient psychiatric units. I have also worked as a counsellor with several mental health charities. I have worked in private practice for 18 years. I was a visiting lecturer within the School of Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire. I am a trainer for first year psychotherapy students and I am a clinical supervisor to both trainee and qualified therapists, and I run experiential training groups for trainee therapists. My private practice is within a few minutes walk from bus and train station and I also offer off-street parking. Prior to training as a psychotherapist and counsellor I had a career in publishing as a writer and editor for international organisations in the UK, Israel and South Africa.
