About me and my therapy practice
I'm an approachable, experienced Accredited Counsellor, who supports adult individuals through change, low self-esteem and identity issues, helping them rebuild their confidence and find direction.
Maybe you find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, sensing something needs to change but unsure what it is. Perhaps you’re often told you’re too hard on yourself – the inner critic in overdrive – making it hard to move forward, even with reassurance from others. A busy mind can be driven and creative, but it can also leave you exhausted, overwhelmed and stuck.
At times like this, past and painful experiences may surface, such as childhood neglect or trauma. It’s natural to overthink, feel aimless, or believe you’re not good enough, don’t fit in, or are misunderstood. Holding it together on the outside while struggling inside can lead to burnout, anxiety and depression.
I can help you find clarity by working with you to address the root causes of your concerns. When life feels overwhelming, it can be valuable to have space to share freely, at your own pace. Together, we can untangle your thoughts, adopt healthier ways of thinking to manage stress, and explore new approaches that feel more aligned with who you really are. We may spend some time looking at your past, particularly where it shapes your present choices.
Navigating life’s big transitions can be challenging, whatever your age. I support younger adults and professionals in finding direction, exploring identity, seeking deeper connections, or managing the pressure to meet certain milestones. For older adults, this may include support through bereavement, divorce, redundancy or becoming a carer.
My own experience of therapy was transformative, and now I help others explore what’s holding them back. I welcome people from all backgrounds, identities and life experiences.
Practice description
I offer in person sessions in Faversham, and work with people from all over the UK online.
I hold a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and I'm an accredited counsellor with BACP. Accreditation reflects a deeper level of commitment, experience and accountability in my work, and offers clients reassurance that they are in safe, qualified hands.
I have been working in London and Kent for the past 12 years and stay well informed of the latest developments within my field. I have experience of working with people who are exploring, discovering, or questioning a neurodivergent identity – including those who may not have a formal diagnosis but are seeking understanding and self acceptance.
Although it's natural to feel anxious about starting counselling (especially if you haven't had it before) It's important to me that you feel secure enough to be able to open up in the therapy room, so I work in a way that's warm and supportive.
Together we'll ensure that we're taking the route that's right for you, by checking in with each other regularly to talk about how we think the counselling process is going, and what is and isn't working for you.
As you become comfortable talking to me honestly about your wants and needs, you will gain more self-compassion, and the confidence to communicate authentically to others.
Previous clients have often reported feeling lighter after sessions, and have described my style as "calming"
My first session
A first session is mainly about you getting a sense of whether you'd feel comfortable working with me - whether we'd be a good fit. You'd tell me as much or as little as feels right for you, and I get the opportunity to think about how I can best be of help.
At the end of that first session, I'll give you some information about my practice to take away and read, so that if you need it, you can have some time to think about it before setting up any more sessions.
I offer a free 20 minute initial phone call, so please take that first step and get in touch to arrange. My practice is welcoming and inclusive
