About me and my therapy practice
Working with and trying to understand people and their lives is something that has always interested me and this work has taught me that no two people are the same. Everyone needs to be seen as an individual who has their own unique way of how they perceive their life and relationships within it. One person may see an issue as a big problem which is unsolvable, while another may see it as simply a hurdle to be overcome and enjoy the process of overcoming it. We are all different.
The most important thing is that you realise that there is something you find difficult or can't cope with at present and want to do something about it. When you have done that, you are on the way to changing your situation. Counselling can help you move further along the way.
In the first session I will listen to your issues and will talk about whether I think I can help in any way and how this can be achieved. Sometimes one counselling session is enough, though it usually varies between 3 to 12 sessions, until you have reached the stage where you feel comfortable to move forward on your own.
I work from 5.00pm to 8pm on Tuesday and Thursday and from 10am to 8pm on Wednesday and 10am to 6pm on Friday.
I use counselling rooms which are close to Liverpool Street station as well as outdoor counselling, if you would prefer to walk and talk. I also work online using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and by phone.
I am a BACP Accredited counsellor and have a PG Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, a Diploma in Supervision and a Certificate in Couples Counselling. I also work as a licensed trainer for a large Charity.
Practice description
I work with individuals and couples and session days and times can be flexible, rather than having a particular day and time each week. Sometimes it can help to have a gap of a few weeks between sessions, particularly if there are exercises to try in between sessions.
