About me and my therapy practice
I have worked in the NHS setting for 15 years in acute Mental Health and subsequently in my own private practice since 2011.
I therefore have a good understanding of working with people with anxiety, depression, self harming behaviours, eating disorders and trauma to name a few.
I gained my accreditation with BACP as a Psychodynamic therapist, however my experience working in the NHS, alongside subsequent training over the years has shaped me to be able to work with a variety of approaches.
These include CBT(Cognitive approach) and the use of creative mediums.
I recently completed Somatic Trauma Therapy Training with Babette Rothschild, with particular training on the use of the SIBAM model for overcoming Trauma.
I therefore not only offer a space to journey together to bring about clarity and change, but I also offer some very practical tools and strategies.
I offer individual sessions to adults, young people and children.
