About me and my therapy practice
I work in Cambridge offering short or long-term counselling either online or face-to-face. My aim is to provide a warm, safe and confidential environment in which clients feel comfortable to talk about their lives.
Coming to counselling can be daunting and finding the right counsellor is crucial. Building trust and forging a relationship is essential and I am committed to every client - the focus is very much on the individual.
Practice description
I offer a mix and match style of counselling using a variety of techniques and working with different approaches (in counselling terms this is called an integrative person-centred approach).I feel it is important to recognise that we are all different and therefore we all have different needs – what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another.
My first session
I recommend having a call before arranging a first session - it's good to talk before meeting (either online or face-to-face), and helps give us both a feel for whether we would be a good fit.
First sessions can be daunting and I will try to make you as comfortable as possible. My focus will be on you, and your reasons for wanting therapy - I'm here to support you on the journey that we will take together to explore your world.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Registered Member of the BACP with over 7 years experience of running a Private Practice, working for EAP providers and having worked for a large charitable organisation in the East of England.
I offer professional supervision on either a 1:1 or group basis to counsellors and therapists from a variety of sectors including charitable organisations, those in private practice, the NHS and the education sector. I also work with trainee counsellors, or those who have recently qualified. Supervision can be either in-person or online.
With a Diploma in Integrative Supervision my approach (like my counselling style) is flexible and I adapt each individual session to develop and support the practitioner's work.
I want every supervision to be about encouraging enthusiasm for our work - exploring it, questioning it and feeling confident in how we are working with clients or patients, even when the work is really difficult and challenging.
Practice description
Supervision is such an important part of the work that we do as therapists – it supports and challenges us, it’s somewhere we can be safely honest about the work we do, and it’s a place to explore new ideas and perspectives.
My aim is to help practitioners flourish professionally and for their clients to grow. We won't always solve problems or answer questions, but supervision can encourage us to feel reinvigorated and full of renewed enthusiasm for the work that we do.
My first session
It takes time to build a strong supervisory relationship, and after normally talking to new supervisees over the phone, first sessions are about getting to know each other, and getting to know how you work as a therapist.
We will talk through what your expectations of supervision are, and how you feel you would get the most out of our time together.
