About me and my therapy practice
I offer face-to-face, on-line and telephone Counselling.
I am a Registered and accredited member of the BACP as an individual, and as a member of the BACP Private Practice Division. I have a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and a Post Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
I have experience in helping clients with many psychological issues including stress and anxiety, loss, relationship issues, anger management, motivation, self esteem and confidence.
I have worked for over 22 years in health and education within a University setting and have experience in teaching counselling to degree level and training counselling students.
I have also worked with several external organisations including emergency services helping their employees who have struggled with work-related stress, personal issues, bereavement and health and relationship issues, both at work and at home.
I am now in Private Practice.
I am an Integrative therapist and use a pluralistic approach in matching the therapeutic model to the issue presented. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths and resources that will assist you in overcoming the areas in life that challenge you.

Practice description
I am able to offer counselling within a comfortable therapeutic space which ensures confidentiality and facilitates face-to-face, telephone and on-line counselling.
My first session
My first session is designed to get to know the client’s expectations of therapy and an understanding of the goals the client is aiming to achieve. This is also an opportunity for the prospective client to decide whether therapy is the right choice for them and acquire a good understanding of what they may expect from therapy.
