About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist working with individuals and with couples. Together we can look at a wide range of concerns, including: anxiety, depression, relationship and family issues, work stress, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal thoughts and loss and grief. By exploring these areas gently and deeply, we will work-out how to allow you to move forwards.
I offer a safe, quiet, confidential therapy room in my home in central/North Kingston. There are good transport links and on-street parking.
We'll agree how many sessions to have. This is usually open-ended but can be a fixed timescale - usually between 6 and 12 sessions - if that suits you better.
(I'm also a qualified supervisor, offering support to other therapists and counsellors. Please see the separate page entry if you're interested.)
Please contact me via phone or email and I should respond within 24 hours. Usually I arrange an initial brief chat on the phone. At our first session together I will begin to gain an understanding of your situation and we can agree how to move forwards.
Practice description
I work from a dedicated room in my home in central/north Kingston. It's a quiet, private space that allows us to speak openly about whatever you'd like to explore.
I have worked with clients for more than ten years - in private practice and via the NHS - so I have wide experience of different issues and concerns.
My aim is to make the therapy space comfortable so that exploring difficult subjects is as easy as it can be.
By the way, my dog is usually sleeping in her bed in the room with us but, if that is any of concern, she can happily go to a different part of the house.
My first session
I usually suggest that we have an initial brief chat on the phone before booking a first session together.
At the first session, I'll be interested to find out more about you and what you're looking for. I'll explain how I work. Together we can decide whether you're happy to set-up a series of sessions.

About me and my therapy practice
I offer supervision sessions in person in Kingston Upon Thames (KT2) and online (usually via Teams).
My aim with supervision is to provide a space for reflection and learning. The intent is to support my supervisee's professional and personal well-being and development, with the ultimate goal of enabling safe and effective client work. I hope that this can be done through a collaborative relationship which allows for creativity and exploration.
Practice description
My style of supervision is linked to my therapeutic model - integrating a range of learning and experience, with a particular emphasis on relational aspects. I utilise the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision, along with consideration of ego states, stages of development and the drama triangle (amongst other concepts).
I am happy to supervise case work involving individual adults (18 and over). I don't currently offer supervision to therapists who work primarily with CBT, EMDR or other specialist models.
I adhere to BACP's professional standards and ethical guidelines. Whilst I aim to work collaboratively with my supervisees, I prioritise issues raising clinical risk or safeguarding concerns (for supervisees and their clients).
My first session
I offer an initial 30 minute free session to any prospective new supervisee during which we can discuss how we'd work together and, if possible, review a client case as an example. If we decide to work together, I'll ask you to complete a brief form to give me an overview of your background.
Once agreed - depending on the supervisee's caseload and supervision requirements - I recommend an hourly session on a monthly basis
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss supervision sessions together.
