About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychodynamic counsellor with over 25 years experience of working in the NHS, voluntary sector and private practice with people from a wide range of backgrounds presenting with a variety of issues such as relationships, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and bereavement.
I have a particular interest and experience in working with women during fertility treatment, during pregnancy and postnatally as well as following a traumatic birth, termination, miscarriage or stillbirth. I am experienced in working with clients from the LGBTQ+ community and addressing the particular issues that may arise for them in considering parenthood.
I aim to provide a safe, confidential, reliable space for you to explore your concerns. Working collaboratively to understand the world from your point of view will enable us to think together about the things that are troubling you , to understand more about what is going on for you and to address the changes you might want to make.
In the first instance I offer an initial consultation appointment which is an opportunity to think together about your concerns and how we might work together. Following this sessions would usually be on a weekly basis on the same day and time each week.
