Availability

Hello,

I know it can be daunting finding the right therapist or supervisor. I offer a 30 minute telephone call to answer any questions that you might have.  If I can't help I will try to point you in the right direction.  Whatever space you are in at the moment there is hope for things to change and get better.  I have been privileged to witness extraordinary growth in clients, self acceptance and peace.

I have been working as a counsellor for over 20 years and have  experience in supporting families, couples and individuals I am now working remotely and face to face offering the same compassion, empathy and honesty however you choose to work.

I am Maureen (Mo for short) and am a Relational couples and individual counsellor.   I am also a Supervisor.  I see young people, couples, individuals and families.   I am a professionally trained psychodynamic therapist but have extended my training to include most modalities. I am fully Accredited and Registered with the BACP.  Much of my training has been with Relate but I have also trained in Emotionally  Focussed Therapy and Supervision with outside organisations.

My hours are flexible but mainly, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and and Thursdays. On Thursday evenings  I offer face to face in Purley, Croydon which has good transport links and free parking outside of the premises.   I use Zoom (licensed) for remote calls.

About me and my therapy practice

I work mainly on licensed Zoom with one afternoon/evening face to face in Purley, Croydon.

I qualified as an Integrative Therapist which means that I can use different techniques such a psychodynamic, person centred, Systemic, Emotionally Focussed or existential therapies, adapting to whatever feels best for you.

I worked for Relate for a number of years and trained with them to undertake work with couples, young people and families.

My first training was a Diploma in Bereavement which I found so rewarding that I went on to continue training in different modalities.  I still enjoy training and have returned from Greece where I studied Existential therapy.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate for working with children and young people and vulnerable adults.

Practice description

I believe that in the power of talking with someone you can begin to  feel safe, accepted and heard.  Someone who will be curious and want to help you explore your life story and help you find understanding as to what happened and how things can be better.

How we relate to each other and ourselves affects how we think, feel and function.  Exploring you past and present relationships and behaviour patterns we can work out what is holding you back from the life you want.

My first session

I offer a 30 minute chat just to see if I am the right therapist for you.  If not I will try to point you in the right direction.
