FOR WOMEN IN LIFE CHANGING SITUATIONS
I am a psychotherapist with 35 years experience. I specialise in guiding all who identify as women to find their unique identity, to trust and accept themselves and to manage any difficult symptoms.
Many of my clients in life’s transitions are exploring their sexuality, finding their voice, experiencing the end of relationships. Midlife and menopause can provide a pause and a space to evaluate, to change direction, or to grieve the losses and lack of fulfilment.
I work with a focus on the client’s inner voice and inner oppression with an understanding of the social context and history that has led to this. Working in student wellbeing recently has given me increased experience of and appreciation of working with neuro-diversity.
I aim to provide support to people who have experienced Minority Stress through race, sex, disability, gender or sexuality and if I can’t take you on as a client I hope some of my writing can support you or support another therapist to support you if your area of need is new to them.
Practice description
I offer individual sessions, couples and groups sessions, retreats, tutoring and training workshops in the UK and abroad. My approach is humanistic and transpersonal arising from extensive training and experience. Take a look at my experience as a psychotherapist, supervisor, coach, university lecturer and trainer on my website www.blue-skies.org.uk
I work from my home in Derbyshire, near Sheffield and Chesterfield.
My enthusiasm, care and knowledge for clients has resulted in a successful, full time private practice working with a diverse client group.
I am currently working with a private clients and supervisees and running groups – including online – to support women going through life’s transitions.
