About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Louise. I am an experienced counsellor, providing short and long term therapy from a Counselling Centre in Kings Heath. I am fully qualified and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I have been working as a counsellor for over 13 years.
You might be in the midst of a crisis, experiencing confusing feelings or seeking to focus on a specific issue, I am able to provide a safe, calm and confidential setting in which your thoughts and feelings can be discussed free from judgment or prejudice.
I am a genuine, warm, honest and empathic person and I fully acknowledge the courage it takes in seeking someone to be open and talk with. With each client that I meet, my focus is to understand your outer and inner world, what makes you who you are. I work in a relational way, focusing on connecting with you and building our relationship. We can work together to explore your difficulties, with the aim of opening up new choices and options. It is possible you have something specific you would like to address, or you might be confused and just need the space and time to figure things out.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor which means I use different models of counselling, combining them and tailoring them to fit your needs. Integrative therapy covers the Person-Centred approach, Gestalt, the Psychodynamic approach and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I aim to create the most effective and fulfilling therapy for you.
If you would like to make an appointment to see me please feel free to make contact either by phone or by email. I am happy for you to leave a voicemail if I am unable to answer your call and I will get back to you.
Practice description
Single Session Counselling:
I am able to offer single-session counselling which can be a very powerful and effective way of accessing therapy. It can provide a new perspective and is often a very cathartic experience. For many people one session is enough and the act of focusing on a specific issue, receiving structured support and expressing themselves fully enables them to solve the root issue. Clients report feeling very satisfied after one session. I aim to offer a session within a week of contact being made.
Please get in touch if you would like more information.
