About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for visiting my profile. As an experienced Therapist, Supervisor and Trainer, facilitating a successful private practice for many years, I work within a Humanistic Integrative approach that recognises the harmony of mind, body and spirit. Life events, conflict and trauma affect us on many levels shaping how we connect with the world. I seek to build a safe, trusting relationship where clients often bring overwhelming concerns. Reassuring clients that whatever their struggles or unhappiness, having someone to listen to help identify their hopes and fears creates a sense of emotional freedom making things more manageable.
My purpose is to be alongside clients to non-judgementally witness their personal, sometimes traumatic stories with compassion and sincerity. Using creative activities enables children and adolescents to engage in therapy as they embrace the confusing and challenging journey into adulthood.
Couples often experience diminishing trust, intimacy, or communication issues when relationships are fraught with hostile attitudes, beliefs, and assumptions. When relational needs are missing, I help each partner develop more realistic expectations of themselves and each other by identifying the root of their anguish. I believe creating a calming reflective space empowering them to build insight and compassion is the core of Couple therapy.
My specialisms are:
• Relationship Counselling
• Children Adolescents Families
• Trauma Health Bereavement
• CID
• Therapeutic Mediation Conflict Resolution
• NLP Coaching
Sensitively supporting clients as they resolve their concerns to find hope, contentment, and inner happiness is central to my work. It is about helping clients make meaningful connections between the past, present and future. Empowering clients to understand why they act and feel as they create change for healthier insights and opportunities.
I love spending family time and am passionate about sailing, gardening, and walking by the sea.
Practice description
My expertise arises from many years of experience in Health, Education and Private Practice. I work with compassion, creatively and intuitively. I believe each therapeutic encounter is unique; every person is different, valuing the privilege of sharing insight into their thoughts and feelings. It matters that I support people in non-prescriptive ways in whatever brings them to therapy. I hope to be alongside clients to witness their personal stories and what they decide to share. Humour is often present in sessions, helping clients experience new levels of well-being to eliminate the harmful effects of anxiety, fear or helplessness. My clients become empowered and learn to make sense of defeating thoughts, feelings and behaviour patterns that no longer serve any purpose.

I am committed to providing an empathic professional, caring, confidential environment where my clients feel welcomed and accepted, especially as they begin their therapeutic journey.

Practice description
My purpose for providing Supervision is that it genuinely matters to me to support the development of other therapists to assist and provide guidance and help them achieve their goals.
Supervision is an integral part of the therapeutic process; the more significant the learning within a rewarding and buoyant experience for us both, the greater it affects the dynamic process of Counselling.
While Supervision flexibly acknowledges boundaries, ethical practice and safeguarding, for me it provides and reflects the therapeutic journey of growth, of increased self-awareness and knowledge for both Supervisor and Supervisee to desire to discover more about the challenges of being human.
Together with my Supervisee, we create a secure, interpersonal and developmental relationship as a place to reflect upon therapeutic work and what the supervision process means to their personal development as a competent practitioner. As they grow in competence within a creative, motivating environment, I like to help Supervisees connect theory and clinical practice, discover new insights skills and resources.
My first session
Over an initial one-hour session, we explore Supervisee hopes and needs and determine how I work as a Supervisor.
As a Therapist and Supervisor, I seek to provide a unique setting where we can be ourselves, mutually respectful, flexible and within each encounter, a creativity that is both reflective and enlightening.
