About me and my therapy practice
I am a psychotherapist and addiction specialist with 27 years experience. I work weekly, fortnightly and on an ad-hoc basis with younger and older adults with addiction problems and the issues that underlie their dependence, including anger, anxiety and relational difficulties.
Much of my 27 years of experience has been working in the private and public sector with people with drug and alcohol problems, however, in recent years my clientele has broadened to include those struggling with the use of pornography and other compulsive behaviours.
As well as practising privately, I currently work for the NHS at Lisson Grove Health Centre where I counsel adults with alcohol and substance abuse issues, and at Marylebone Health Centre where I counsel young people and students.
I would welcome a meeting with you to discuss your situation. However, if I don't sound like the right therapist to help you, I wish you the best of luck in finding that person here on the BACP website.
Take care of yourself.

Practice description
How I work
I am an ‘integrative’ psychotherapist, which means I believe that a single therapy approach will not help you with all issues that arise for you, and that there are many different therapeutic ways for problems to be explored and worked on. Consequently, I draw techniques and ideas from different ‘schools’ of therapy, depending on the needs of the people I see.
At the heart of my work, however, is helping you see how when you avoid the experience and expression of your emotions, and your physiological anxiety, you create your problems. For some people these 'defences' against feeling are easier to see and let go of, while others find they are deeply ingrained in the way they operate and see themselves, and so can be harder to renounce.
