Availability
I see people face to face Mondays to Fridays 08.00 to 19.00. Except in emergencies I do not work outside those hours or at weekends.
I offer the possibility of walking side by side in the fresh air of a local park.
I use Zoom and telephone where all else is impracticable.
About me and my therapy practice
I work only privately as a counsellor/psychotherapist and supervisor mainly at Southside Therapy Centre in Edinburgh. But I do see disabled people elsewhere by arrangement. The core of my own practice is part Buddhist, part influenced by Rudolf Steiner and part Rogerian. There is a strong meditative component to it. My training included a fair element of Psychodrama so that is another influence. I work creatively, I might use my training in Dance Movement Therapy or voice-work. My focus is holistic and responsive to supervisees and clients is in relationship to themselves as unique individuals. I am not prescriptive: for some people just to sit and talk is quite enough. Some of my supervisees are managers, some are supervisors themselves and some of them have young people and children as clients. My clients come from all walks of life. I like this mix of offering therapy to clients and supervision to both mature practitioners and trainees who might start apprehensively then grow and develop during their years with me as they become mature in their own right. My fees are always negotiable with a starting point of £30.00 per hour from which I go up according to what we negotiate as appropriate. I offer an introductory hour for £10.00. First sessions are best face to face but I use Zoom or telephone where necessary. I expect these to last up to an hour. My fee is £10.00 to encourage potential clients to get the experience of trying a number of therapists.

Southside provide a reception service most of the day five days a week. The core of my own practice is part Buddhist, part influenced by Rudolf Steiner and part Rogerian.
