About me and my therapy practice
As an Accredited and professional Psychotherapist, a counseling session(s) with me provides you with an opportunity to talk through and explore problems with a person who is trained to listen attentively and guide you through the process. It can lead to a greater understanding of the impact your experiences have on life, work, and relationships. It can also help you to manage anger, anxiety etc and develop improved communication skills.
My training with the National Centre for Eating Disorders( (Master Practitioner Diploma in Eating Disorders and Obesity) BPS approved, has enabled me to work successfully with a range of clients and their families living with eating disorders.

About me and my therapy practice
My therapeutic practice is based on an integrative model. This means I listen to the clients presenting issues, and use the most appropriate and beneficial modality to support them. I am trained in several different modalities which enables me to create a model that is specific to each individual client. All of my work is underpinned by the core conditions of person centred therapy, while using the other modalities to explore issues at a deeper level. There are no set number of sessions you need to agree to, its an open ended agreement which you can end any time you feel is appropriate. We would use the first session to establish your needs and how I would work with them, discuss what you hope to achieve from therapy, and how you would know you had reached that place when we finished working together.
its also an opportunity to discuss your thoughts and feelings in starting therapy and to dispel any fears or misconceptions about the process.
Practice description
since lockdown i made the decision to work only on Zoom. This has proved very successful for my existing clients and new clients. Often clients are wary of Zoom as a platform for therapy, I understand this and I'm always happy to have a 15 minute Zoom call to see how it feels for the client. I believe my 25years of experience working through different platforms (telephone/face to face and Skype) has helped me develop the ability to adapt to peoples needs whatever the presenting issue, or platform used.
My ultimate aim as a therapist is to help you feel at ease with me in order to fully explore your presenting issues within a calm and safe space.
