About me and my therapy practice
You may come for counselling because of a crisis, maybe an event or series of stresses. You may want to come because you feel unhappy, in yourself or within a relationship, or because you are not coping well with what life at the moment.
You might also have a sense that you want things to be different for you in how you experience things and want a safe space to explore feelings and thoughts, relationship difficulties, trauma or a feeling of conflict between different parts of yourself.
I describe myself as a humanistic therapist. I work collaboratively, so we would work together to build your awareness of yourself and how go about things in your life, so that you have more choices in how to respond. I am Gestalt informed and influenced by attachment theory, internal family systems and trauma-informed understanding of our bodily responses to distress. In practice, this will mean a balance of focus between how you are in the present moment, and your life and past experiences.
I offer a free 15/20 minute telephone introductory session, and welcome clients from different backgrounds and cultures. LGBTQI+ affirmative. I work online from South Manchester. Please see my website for further information.

About me and my therapy practice
I have a post-graduate certificate in supervision and offer supervision to counsellors, trainee counsellors and other health or social care professionals. Using the Shohet and Hawkins model, which is relational, we would explore processes underlying your work with clients including any transference and counter-transference, and the parallel process that may appear in the supervision. I would be suited to therapists who work in a relational way and who want to explore conscious and unconscious process as well as ethical and practical issues.
I have both up-to-date Adult and Childrens' level 3 safeguarding training and I also work as a senior counsellor in the NHS. I may be able to offer a reduced fee for trainees.
My first session
I offer a free supervision session for us to establish if we would be good match for supervision.
