Practice description
I am a warm and understanding practitioner renowned for putting my clients at ease.
Sometimes the thought of contacting a therapist can be very nerve racking; most people are a little anxious and find it difficult to make the first call or send an email, but let me assure you there is no need to be anxious, you will receive a very warm and caring response from me.
I know by the time people call they are often distressed. I do my best to make the first time you contact me a comfortable experience. With many years experience, I am fully aware of the issues that people face, and I approach all my clients dilemmas in a truly non-judgmental and professional manner.
My first session
During our first meeting we will explore the situation at your own pace and I will give you the space and time to explain to me what has lead you make contact.
The aim is to increase your understanding and help you explore options you may not have considered, and different ways of coping with - and resolving issues.

About me and my therapy practice
Comfortable working with a variety of theoretical frameworks across diverse sectors.
I work with an open integrative model, in a collaborative way - exploring the client content along with experiences, feelings and thoughts that arise for the supervisee, with regard to the relationship with the client and how the therapy is progressing.
My focus is to help supervisees develop a safe and professional practice, with both therapist and client well-being in mind; to include reflective practice, mentoring, nurturing and sharing of experience and education.
I work to create a climate where the supervisee can feel safe, understood, supported and when required, challenged.
I am passionate about the possibilities that good supervision can offer, which benefit both supervissee and client. I always feel I gain a lot personally from this relationship, learning constantly through practice and sharing. I am always available to my supervisees outside of the contracted sessions.
Supervision will include attention to best practice, ethics, standards and professional issues, theoretical frameworks, transference, supervised and client well-being.
