About me and my therapy practice
If you're looking for a safe, welcoming and confidential space to talk through the difficulties you are having in your day to day life, you've come to the right place.
Life can sometimes feel unmanageable, we can feel low and isolated and unsure of who to turn to. When we feel stuck in certain situations and these begin impacting on our mood and our behaviour, we can often need the support of an outside source to help us look at our situation more clearly and to help us regain control. This is where a counsellor can help.
I've been supporting people from all walks of life, with all manner of difficulties since qualifying in 2009. My extensive experience working in both private practise and alongside charities and organisations as well as a wealth of additional training has given me a host of valuable tools to personalise my work with clients to ensure they get exactly what they need from the counselling sessions.
Building relationships and being a part of the therapeutic process with clients is something I continue to gain a great deal of satisfaction from. Watching a client find their way to living a more fulfilled life is an absolute pleasure.
Practice description
I provide a one to one integrative therapy service, offering person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and hypnotherapy that can help you explore your difficulties in a respectful, non-judgemental manner to support you in feeling better in yourself and to find your strengths that will empower you to take control of your life.
I'm also trained in couples counselling for partners wishing to explore any difficulties they may be having in their relationship. An equal, respectful, productive space is provided in order to communicate and discover each other's perspectives with an impartial facilitator.
I take a flexible approach to counselling clients, working to individual need and preference. Feel free to contact me to discuss this in more detail.
My first session
The first session will consist of collecting some details from you, discussing confidentiality and data protection and exploring what you hope to gain from the counselling process.
It will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and will give us the opportunity to meet and decide if the therapy I can offer you is right for you.
It is very important to choose the right counsellor for you so this first session also aims to allow you to get a feel for me as a person and how I work so you know you're making the right choice. There will be no pressure to book another appointment, you are free to walk away and consider your options.

About me and my therapy practice
It is important to find the right supervisor for you as the relationship is just as important as the supervision. The experience you will receive in your supervision will be dependent on your level of experience, as levels of support and challenge may differ in relation to your level of competence.
I have been in counselling practice since 2009 and have been supervising since 2012.
My counselling work is primarily integrative using person-centred and cognitive behaviour therapy and I am qualified in hypnotherapy.
I work with adults on both an individual basis and as a couples counsellor and specialise in unhealthy relationships.
I have my own successful private therapy practice and have worked alongside charities and organisations such as Women's Aid and the NHS to provide therapy.
Fieldwork Supervision however offers me the opportunity to work with professionals from all walks of life.
Practice description
You will find me approachable, understanding and professional whilst offering a relaxed, equal space to talk things through and hopefully share a few laughs in!
My first session
Your first session will simply involve us getting to know each other a little. It will involve gathering some basic information from you and will offer you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. We will also go through the supervision agreement. This will be a 1hr session at a cost of £60.
We will talk through all the benefits you will receive as a supervisee as I offer much more than a 90 minute session once per month.
We will discuss:
- free resources
- free templates
- private practice guidance
- managing a 'living will'
- additional telephone/e-mail support
- potential client referrals
- networking opportunities
- CPD opportunities
- report writing where required
- fees (£90 per 90mins) and associated cancellation policy
