About me and my therapy practice
Nicola Richter, DiplPsych - MSc; PGDipHE, MBACP (Senior Accredited), UKCP Registered, GMBPsS, Fellow HEA
I work holistically and offer you a welcoming service tailored to you. With my over 25 years and over 20,000 hours of experience in providing this confidential, fully insured service you are in safe hands for your emotional, psychological and spiritual enquiries.
I assist you in:
• gaining a deeper awareness of your issues, thoughts, feelings, patterns, 'lessons to learn' • identifying what you may wish to change in your thinking, feeling, behaviour, beliefs and outlook, and what you may want to learn to accept about yourself, others, situations etc. • clarifying your meaning in life to fulfil your potential • translating insights into lived and experienced reality.
My approach is holistic counselling and psychotherapy, meaning that in addition to working on your emotional, mental and spiritual well-being, if and when appropriate we will also discuss, how e.g. your stress might show as tension in the body and in turn e.g. give you brain-fog. We will then explore what you can do to help yourself to get out of such cycles.
During the pandemic I have observed, that many people reflect more deeply upon their lives and like to discuss their spiritual side. We can explore the aspects of your soul and spirit you might not show much to others, but where you may have a sense or knowing, that we are more than a body, more than 'a bag of bones'. We can explore your meaning in life and soul purpose, and e.g. how you can integrate some spiritual experiences.
SUMMARY
• Holistic Face-to-Face sessions in a relaxing atmosphere • Skype sessions also available • free off-street parking • Over 25 years experience.
Further: I'm an approved provider for medical healthcare insurances (Aviva, AXA, Cigna, Exeter Family Friends, Helix Health, PruHealth/Vitality Health, WPA).
LANGUAGES: English and German fluently.

STYLE OF THERAPEUTIC SUPERVISION
My view of human nature is humanistic. If you like to go beyond 'skills' and beyond seeing clients as pure 'cases' in your supervison, and prefer to explore your own perceptions and experiences in relation to your clients - give me a call.
MY SUPERVISION BACKGROUND
I have worked at various Universities and Colleges (including: Regent's University; London Metropolitan University), training others in our profession. In addition to my practice and my academic work, I have presented at national and international conferences, published some articles and been on radio. Feel free to call me and tell me, what your supervision needs or wants might be, and we can discuss how we could work together. All my supervisees have received their BACP accreditation in their first attempt successfully.
ACCADEMIC SUPERVISON
I have supervised dissertations in counselling and psychotherapy from Diploma through to MA level. The vast majority of my supervises have obtained 'distinctions' for their dissertations.
WHO I WOULD LIKE TO SUPERVISE
At the stage of my career of practicing for over 25 years, I am particularly interested in working with supervisees, who wish to relate from a humanistic perspective. If you would like to explore how your spiritual aspects and approach to life might align - or at times not ;-) with your clients, then that would be especially interesting to me.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST: PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOUR SUPERVISON
Tell me, what you wish to get out of supervision - beyond the formal criterial - where are you at on your journey, and what are areas you which to go deeper into, understand yourself and others better in? I look forward to hearing your ponderings -

My first session
I find the you get the most out of supervision, when you look at your challenges with clients and are open to explore how some of these challenges might relate to yourself.
As such all you need to bring to supervision is: yourself - warts and all :-)
