About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced, qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and I offer individual counselling and psychotherapy for adults and young people either online or face to face.

How can Counselling and Psychotherapy help?

Counselling and psychotherapy provides you with a space for you to talk about feelings that worry or upset you, to make sense of what is impacting on you now and to increase self awareness.

Whether you are experiencing difficulties or in distress I can provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore what is troubling you in a non-judgmental way.

Engaging in counselling sessions can help you by looking at alternative ways you can respond to others, manage your feelings, and make sense of what has happened, all of which can have a positive impact on your wellbeing and relationships.

If you're looking for friendly and professional counselling support call, text or email me to arrange an initial session to see how counselling can help you and to answer any questions you might have.

Practice description

I work from home in a relaxing confidential space.

My first session

A free initial telephone call is offered to assess whether we can work together and how best I can help you.

Then a counselling session is arranged face to face or on line via Skype or Zoom.

This provides you with the opportunity to assess whether counselling is right for you and identify what you would like to focus on.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision to psychotherapists, counsellors and student psychotherapists and counsellors and those using counselling skills in roles such as social work or nursing.

I believe that the purpose of supervision is to ensure that psychotherapists and counsellors work ethically and in the best interests of their clients. The best way to do this is for me to support you and I do this by providing a safe environment within which you feel cared for, listened to and encouraged to help you find your own way of working with a client. I supervise individuals and groups from Tadworth and Walton-on-the Hill.

I am a qualified supervisor with a OCN Level 6 in Counselling Supervision and I work with difference and diversity using Hawkins and Shohet's process model of counselling supervision.

Past experience:

I have had extensive experience providing counselling and pyschotherapy to adults and adolescents in Further and Higher Education settings. I have also worked in the NHS and the YMCA providing counselling for adults and adolescents. For four years I managed a counselling service at a large Surrey college and worked with the support of other counsellors in counselling students and staff.

I have also worked as a supervisor supporting counsellors in training and qualified counsellors in their client work.

Prior to qualifying as a Counsellor I worked as a Complementary Therapist for nearly 10 years and bring a  holistic philosophy to my work.
