About me and my therapy practice
I have over 27 years experience as a psychotherapist/counsellor in the NHS (Royal London Hospital), schools, charities such as Rape Crisis and Threshold Counselling, Employee Assistance Programs as well as running an established private practice. Having worked with a diverse range of people (aged 10-73) in various settings with wide ranging issues including anxiety, depression, panic attacks,, family issues, relationships, identity, cultural issues and bereavement, I hope I am well placed to help you too.
I have specialist training and experience of working with survivors of trauma, violence, abuse, ptsd as well as human trafficking and honour based violence.Practice description
We all have problems in our lives and sometimes it helps to talk to someone who isn’t family or friend. I would like to offer confidential support and help to explore anything that’s worrying you and to make sense of what’s going on so that you can find the best way forward for a more satisfying life.
I’m well qualified, had extensive training to use a variety of methods and have a holistic approach so that I can make sure you have the type of counselling that’s suited to your particular experience and needs. This may include short-term (6-20 sessions) or longer-term counselling; stress management training; mindfulness; life coaching.
As a registered and accredited counsellor, you can be sure that I have to comply with high standards personally and professionally. I have full enhanced DBS disclosure. I am a Cigna Healthcare approved provider.
I like to make my service accessible to all. I have lower rates for some day time appointments. Individual circumstances are always considered so do ask about this.
My first session
Counselling could help you. Why not give me a call or email so that we can arrange an initial session. You won’t be committed to anything but people have often said that this session felt reassuring as it gives a chance to talk about what might be helpful for you, gives an opportunity to ask any questions and any other concerns you may have. Be assured that you would not be obligated to anything after this. If, then, you do feel that you would like to continue, we can arrange a day and time for weekly sessions that’s convenient.
