I see clients in the daytime and evening, Monday to Thursday. 

I currently have more availability/flexibility in the daytime usually as evenings can be busy. 

I am an experienced and qualified Adult Psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist, who has worked for over 10 years in the NHS, community settings and private practice. 

I am used to working with varied and complex issues and recognize the importance of being flexible and focusing on the individual, with their unique needs and concerns.

I offer counselling for a range of issues and can help you to recognise patterns and behaviours which have built up over time, so you can make sense of your feelings, enabling you to see and address your difficulties in a more manageable way.

I provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for you to explore difficulties and concerns. I see people of all ages with various emotional and psychological difficulties including depression, anxiety, abuse, self harm, divorce and relationship issues, anger, low self-esteem and many other problems which are listed below.

I also work as a therapist to student/trainee counsellors and am a qualified supervisor. 

Please note that I do not work with children, young people under the age of 18 or couples.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice and am registered with the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council).

Amongst other qualifications, I am qualified with an MSc in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and counselling for Adults. I believe in the importance of continuous professional development and regularly attend workshops and training events.

Deciding to start counselling and then choosing the right therapist can feel like a bewildering task. Therefore, I charge a reduced fee of £50 for an initial consultation, without obligation, which gives you the opportunity to check out whether you think counselling is right for you, And whether I am the right counsellor to help you.

If you choose to work with me we will meet once weekly for 50 minute sessions in a safe and private consulting room.

The length of therapy (be it short or longer term) depends on what you want to achieve and the types of issues you bring.

I offer individual supervision to counsellors and therapists with a strong interest in the psychodynamic way of working.

I also work as a group Supervisor for a local Charitable Counselling organisation.
