About me and my therapy practice

Well done for having the COURAGE to take the first steps to access professional counselling to work through life's twists and turns. Building a safe and trusting relationship is at the heart of counselling and I am here to facilitate your unique journey.

I'm Julie, a qualified person-centred counsellor since 2010. Based in Rotherham helping a diverse range of clients to work through life experiences to gain clarity build resilience and encourage personal growth. Issues have ranged from stress, bereavement, grief, relationships, anxiety, depression, self-harm to complex trauma to name but a few.

During our lives we can all encounter challenging times which can affect our thoughts, feelings, behaviours and long term mental health. My experience spans over 14 year in a variety of settings, in GP surgeries, a charity for survivors of abuse and a Multi Academy Trust (primary & secondary schools).  

Practice description

Working as a trauma informed person-centred counsellor, I tailor therapy to meet an individuals need. I offer empathy, compassion, and a non-judgemental attitude.

Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by life's challenges. The journey feels difficult and uneven. Together we can explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe, supportive and confidential setting.

I will reply by email to arrange an initial time and day to contact you which is mutually suitable. Please include on your enquiry form what you are seeking counselling for and confirm that you are 18 years and over. 


Our Free Initial contact call.

Our 15 minute informal call is to explore the opportunity of working with me as your counsellor. Contact me today by email to arrange your free call. Together we will discuss your expectations of counselling, availability and type of sessions on offer. If we agree to proceed we will provisionally book your first appointment and I will email you a welcome pack to read.


Booking your counselling.

Please confirm you have read your counselling agreement by email and make your payment to secure your 60 minute appointment.

  • Together explore what you bring at your pace.
  • Identify possible support networks and coping strategies.
  • Discuss confidentiality and other practicalities and where needed we may complete a risk assessment.

Scheduled at the end of each session at a convenient time for you or if you prefer we can block book your counselling sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

At the heart of supervision is the need to build a trusting therapeutic relationship, one which offers personal and professional support to encourage growth. I am here to help facilitate your unique supervision life journey.

I'm Julie, a qualified person-centred counsellor since 2010 and a practicing supervisor since 2016. I am based in Rotherham supporting a diverse range of supervisee's to work through their client's counselling life journey to gain clarity, build resilience and encourage professional development.

  • Guide clinical work and professional development.
  • Qualified to work with children and young people. 
  • Qualified to work remotely for counselling and supervision.  
  • Member of BACP Children, Young People and Families.
  • Attend regular supervision.

Please read and completed your supervision agreement by email and make your bank transfer payment to secure your 60/90 minute session.
