About me and my therapy practice
I'm a highly-qualified and widely-experienced psychotherapist, accredited counsellor and supervisor with over 15 years experience. I've worked privately, for the NHS and for a University. I offer a professional, friendly, safe and effective service. I offer long and short-term therapy and personal development work to individuals and work with all issues that arise in the course of life, from low self-esteem, anger-management, bereavement/loss or behavioural/ relationship issues to anxiety/depression or specific disorders. My holistic Gestalt approach means that I welcome you in your wholeness; your thoughts, emotions, sexuality and spirituality. With my ability to listen at depth, my sensitivity to feelings, cultural differences and individual preferences, my aim is to help you in developing enough support and insight and to find and make the choices that, on your own, have been elusive or impossible. My wider interests and professional experience include teaching and studying, music, meditation, exercise and reading. I consider myself a tolerant person with a sense of humour and a balanced viewpoint. Please note that my B14 address is an optional alternative applying only to Supervisees. What I can help with

About me and my therapy practice
Supervising Statement My philosophy and style as a supervisor have emerged from both my broad work experience (in the voluntary sector, public sector, schoolteaching, NHS Primary Care and the University sector) and also from my personal journey (through my engagement in music, in literature, in Buddhism and in the theory and practice of gestalt therapy). My supervision style is an integration of my models (Person Centred and Gestalt mainly but with a knowledge of other approaches)my pedagogic skills, creativity and curiosity, combined with faith in -and lived experience of- core gestalt theory. I aim to balance my confidence and experience with the humility of finding myself always a learner too.Types of therapy
