About me and my therapy practice
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Supervision for Individuals and Groups and a PG Diploma in Integrative Therapy and Counselling.
I supervise counsellors in private practice, those in training and those who are newly qualified and looking to gain hours and the confidence to move ahead with their professional careers. I am currently contracted to provide clinical supervision to groups for a social enterprise which offers low cost and open ended therapy in my local community.
My premise for supervision is to work alongside you and facilitate the creation of a space where you are safe enough to stop and develop a reflective practise towards your client work. Processing your thoughts and feelings to serve the best interests of the client is always the focus of our work, I would add that investing in the process of a secure supervision arrangement is also an act of self care for you, the therapist, and this is essential if you are to remain resilient and of use to others.
I work with Hawkins and Shohets Seven Eyed Model which holistically incorporates these ideas and serves as a framework to aid us in exploring and developing ideas around the following presentations:
- the client
- the supervisees interventions
- the relationship between the supervisee and client
- the supervisees responses
- the relationship between supervisee and supervisor
- the supervisors use of self in the process
- the wider system in which the work is taking place
My supervisory work is integrative and creatively draws on person centred, IFS, attachment, psychodynamic, transactional analysis and somatic processing theories. I am trauma informed having trained with a Rape Crisis Centre.
I am available for one to one and group work, either face to face from my room in Horsham which is near the main line station and town centre or remotely via zoom. Please contact me by phone or email if you would like to discuss your needs and availability.

About me and my therapy practice
Whether you are a young person or an adult, looking for a counsellor can be a daunting process....
You may be here because you have been trying to cope alone for some time with problems such as depression and anxiety, stress, relationship breakdown or abuse. It may be that you just have a sense of not quite reaching your potential.
Whatever the reason, counselling can provide you with a confidential and supportive professional relationship from which you can make sense of what's going on and move forward.
Having awareness of how difficulties and sticking points develop and repeat provides you with the option to make more considered and informed choices. As an outcome you can learn to recognise when your basic needs are compromised, you can explore healthy expression, gain control and also find the courage to make change if that is the best course of action.
Whether you want to look at a specific recurring problem or have a more general sense of dissatisfaction, taking the time to think about yourself and develop is a rewarding experience
I am an experienced, fully insured and privately practising registered member of the BACP. I offer counselling in Horsham from my private practice which is a short distance from the town centre and linked by rail to Crawley, Redhill, Croydon, London Bridge, Billingshurst, Arundel and Bognor Regis.
Practice description
My approach to counselling is integrative which means that it is drawn from a broad range of theories and approaches to help understand and respond to your individual needs, it is an adaptable model because I believe that there can be no 'one size fits all'. I have extensively studied and made use of person centred, psychodynamic, existential and attachment theories so that how we work together can be determined by your unique circumstances. My first session
The first step is for us to meet up so that you can assess if you think you will be comfortable and feel secure in our working together. The initial meeting is also a chance for us to practically assess your needs and if I don't think I have the relevant skills then I can offer you some guidance on where you might find these.
I will forward you a copy of terms and conditions at confirmation of this appointment.
There is a page entitled ‘frequently asked questions’ on my website which may be useful to read before making contact.
