About me and my therapy practice
I have been an integrative therapist for twenty years, during which time I studied supervision at Warwick University, qualifying in 2012. I have worked with individuals and groups within both private and public sector settings, supervising individuals from different counselling and psychotherapy modalities, such as person-centered, experiential, CBT, brief solution focussed, and psychodynamic.
Practice description
As a supervisor, I seek to establish a collaborative supervisory relationship that promotes mutual respect, trust, and transparency, where it is possible to incorporate an ongoing familiarity with ethical frameworks and where we can explore therapeutic practice, not necessarily in the rigid terms of, ‘right or wrong, but rather with the emphasis on what might be carried out, ‘differently’. I am committed to supporting and challenging supervisees toward greater levels of reflective practice, in a mutually dynamic supervisory relationship, that provides the potential for shared learning and enhances practitioner development in all aspects of professional practiceMy first session
In our first supervision session, we can review our contractual agreement and consider the manner in which you might best obtain the most from our sessions, in terms of both the delivery of effective therapeutic practice and practitioner well-being.

About me and my therapy practice
I have been a qualified integrative counsellor/therapist and supervisor for over twenty years, working in private, in-patient, and secondary settings, with a wide variety of individuals, couples, families, and groups from different backgrounds, addressing a very wide range of psychological, emotional, and behavioural concerns, some of these concerns include, Depression, ADHD, Anxiety, Low Self-esteem, Abuse, Addictions (Inc: Alcohol, Drugs, Gambling, Co-dependency, Sex, and Love), Trauma, Eating Disorders, Dual Diagnosis, Bereavement and Relationship concerns.
My Integrative therapy practice is based on my belief that each individual client is uniquely different and that as such, clients benefit from a tailored therapy approach with which to explore and gain a better understanding of their unique individual experiences and the influence of such experiences on their overall well-being.
Practice description
My Integrative therapeutic approach has the goal of creating a warm, safe, confidential, and accepting therapeutic relationship that provides a holistic process of identifying and gaining fresh insight into both past and present experiences, exploring beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and behaviour, and seeking to identify and explore any problems and consider how best to address them.
Having spent many years as a therapist, it is clear to me that despite the many difficulties that can impact people's well-being, individuals have the capacity to explore, identify and overcome negative influences and thereafter, regain full functioning and renewed meaning, and purpose in their lives.
Should you require any further information or advice, please feel free to contact me for an informal chat via the 'Book intro call' tab at the top of this page.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I practice in accordance with the BACP ethical framework
My first session
When we meet for our first session, I will ensure that we both understand and are in agreement as to our contract to work together and or make clarification as required. I will also ask you to help me complete an assessment of any factors that may be important to take into consideration when considering your treatment and your ongoing well-being.
