About me and my therapy practice
I am on the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (BPS) offering supervision to professional peers and those in training.
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and supervisor of professional practice. I am an integrative practitioner, working from a person-centred home base, into which ideas/techniques from other modalities may be drawn on to inform or guide my work with clients and supervisees.
I have worked extensively as a therapist in the university sector, counselling students and providing peer support and supervision. I now work in private practice.
I understand the specific challenges of students of counselling and psychotherapy, having undertaken extensive trainings myself. I know the demands of training and the contextual/organisational and ethical concerns arising in student practice placement.
Practice description
I offer a safe and supportive supervisory relationship, that will meet you in your work and seek to collaboratively extend both your vision of practice and the resources you need to work safely and creatively with clients.
I expect you to prepare for supervision by reflection on your practice and formulation of questions/concerns/issues to explore.
I welcome trainees and qualified practitioners.
During pandemic restrictions, sessions are offered via Zoom or Skype

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I am registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) as a Counselling Psychologist.
I am on the Register of Applied Psychology Supervisors and a Registered Member of the BACP.
I hold the Qualification in Counselling Psychology (QCoP, BPS, Doctorate level training), an MA in Counselling and BSc (Hons) Psychology.
I have full Professional Liability Insurance, Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Clearance (DBS) and I am a Registered Data Controller with the Information Commissioners Office (IOC).
The therapy I offer is relational and evidence informed. This means that my focus is on establishing and sustaining good counselling relationships, whilst drawing on the theories of counselling and the science of psychology to guide the work. I find that this pluralistic stance, with its openness to different ways of thinking about life and its problems, offers the best way of helping my clients as they explore their concerns and shape their responses.
I adhere to the ethical and professional guidelines of the BPS, HCPC and BACP. It is important to me that the standards, competencies and guidance of these codes are embedded in my working practices.
I offer a quiet, private space in which concerns and problems in living may be openly explored without judgement and undue influence.
