About me and my therapy practice
As a supervisor I work with the issues you bring into the room and carefully challenge those you don't.
My fundamental training is humanistic and integrative, and, I've experienced a wide variety of approaches over forty plus years of therapy and therapeutic learning, so if you're in doubt, ask me!
It is vital to build a relationship of trust and honesty - this is core to our work together. I am empathic, loving and kind as well as richly experienced. We may use humour to accompany learning!
A place to really land your work, be heard deeply, reflect, enjoy your triumphs and be accompanied with the trials.
Practice description
I much prefer face to face working, there's no substitute for being in a room together. And, I am available to work on-line if necessary.
As a supervisor I work with individuals and groups, enjoying the diversity each brings.
If you're wondering, please ask.
My first session
I offer a free half hour initial meeting, preferably face to face, to ensure we feel able to work well enough together to feel satisfied with the work we're doing.
Please bring a case with you to the first meeting.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a richly experienced therapist with a foundation in humanistic principles, integrating learning throughout my thirty plus year therapeutic practice.
Qualifying as a Five Element acupuncturist in 1986, that knowledge and wisdom about human beings and how we work may enter the therapy room when useful.
I qualified in group work in 1988 with the Parent Network - a group process enabling better relationships between carers and children. Later qualifications in group work enabled me to create and facilitate workshops in many different subject areas.
I took my first therapy training in 1990 (although the Parent Network training was the best foundation any therapist could have asked for!) continuing exploring many different therapeutic techniques and theories over the years, gaining a BSc (Hons) in 1999, and taking the Basic and Advanced Shadow Work Facilitator Trainings in 2015 - experiential processes informed by Jung's beliefs about the shadow.
In recent years I have been drawn to conscious movement and dance and have found this somatic experiencing richly informative of how we hold emotion in the body and what's needed to help those emotions to move in a healthy, life-affirming way.
Life is learning!
Practice description
I prefer face to face working - there's nothing quite like being in a room together - and if necessary will work on-line, though I do prefer to meet you face to face first if at all possible.
I work with individuals and groups.
I am happy to work with all age groups and positively welcome diversity and difference.
We will work together for as long as you need, to do the work you have come to do. This could mean as few as six sessions, it could mean longer term work that lasts for years, or anywhere on the spectrum in between.
We will talk about how to end early in our therapeutic relationship. It is so rare to experience good completion in the world it is important we do it with as much awareness as possible.
I do NOT work with couples - it is specialist work and not an area to which I'm drawn.
My first session
We will meet for a FREE half hour assessment session to ensure we feel comfortable enough to go into the often uncomfortable areas that can be necessary for successful therapy.

About me and my therapy practice
I have created and facilitated workshops for over thirty years, having trained with the Parent Network in 1988, and Community Building in Britain in 1993.
Over the years groups have worked with issues as diverse as Celebrating the Journey Into Womanhood and Bereavement by Suicide. Do take a look at my website for a wider range of topics, and if the one you wish to cover isn't there, then ask me.
I work annually with Women in Power, a longstanding women’s initiation and empowerment programme, offer retreats with other experienced retreat holders, occasionally offer Red Tents, co-facilitate Death Cafes and have co-facilitated a Co-Gender Group working with the issues that arise between us humans.
Practice description
I work with groups of all kinds, usually limiting group size to twelve, though that can be flexible too.
A group can be as small as three people.
If you're unsure please ask.
I love working with groups - for the dynamics that arise to be faced, for the support they offer, and for the healing they so often bring.
Groups may happen at weekends.
My first session
Your first session will probably be an individual session to enable us to tease out what you're looking for from a group.
I offer a free half hour session to ensure our interests coincide enough, and that we feel able to work together. I prefer this to be in person and it could take place on-line.
