About me and my therapy practice
I work as a supervisor offering supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors in South Manchester. I have a Diploma in the Supervision of Counselling and the Caring Professions from the University of Manchester. I work within the framework of the seven-eyed model (Hawkins and Shohett 2006)
I use an integrative approach, both as a counsellor and supervisor, but work primarily from a Person Centred perspective. I see my role as supervisor as being to provide support with case work as well as learning and development and professional issues.
My aim as a supervisor is to build a warm, non-judgemental relationship with my supervisees which is also challenging and honest, and to provide a safe, confidential environment in which all kinds of issues can be discussed.
I offer an initial appointment to discuss the role of supervision in more detail. This would also provide the opportunity to set up a contract.
I offer face-to-face or on-line appointments.
Concessionary rates are available for counselling trainees.
