About me and my therapy practice

As a counselling supervisor I recognise supervision as a valuable, supportive resource and an essential part of counselling practice. My role as a supervisor is to provide you with a trusting, supportive, confidential working relationship where you can feel safe to speak openly about your challenges, successes, and feelings without fear of judgment. I offer a space where you can reflect on your practice, gain insights, and receive support to enhance your skills as a counsellor and help you grow both professionally and personally.

My role as your supervisor is to help you navigate any difficulties you might face with clients or your own professional development. I see my role as supporting you, whether it’s offering feedback, guidance, or simply listening as you explore different aspects of your work. Supervision is about looking at client cases, but its also an opportunity to reflect on how you are maintaining your own well-being and the impact of your work.

I have been a qualified supervisor for 6 years, I have experience of providing supervision to qualified and student counsellors and other healthcare professionals. I’m a registered BACP accredited Person-Centred counsellor with 19 years experience as a counsellor.

I am based in Oswestry, Shropshire, and I have parking available at my counselling venue. I can provide supervision sessions either face to face or online via Zoom.

I have a Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision. I also have an Extended Certificate in Online and Telephone Supervision.

I have experience of supervising counsellors who work with children and young people. I also have experience of supervising nurses, occupational health practitioners and healthcare workers from my time working within the hospice as a counsellor and supervisor.

I offer a free initial introductory 40 minute meeting either face to face or online. Contact me if you’d like to arrange an introductory meeting.
