About me and my therapy practice
The supervision is conducted from a position of collegiality and I offer an integrated Humanistic framework to work together in confidential and respectful relations.
I promote reflective dialogue and support continuous ethical and compassionate ways of facilitation.
The continuing Professional development is another aspect that I provide and encourage for supervisees and therapists in training as well as experienced therapists.
This includes reflecting upon the ethical framework that underpins the quality of the therapeutic clinical interventions and supervision.

About me and my therapy practice
My therapeutic practice is non judgemental and empathic to the individual needs of each person. I have a belief that each person has the resources within themselves to make changes they need to in their lives and for me to be alongside to assist them towards solutions and increased self confidence and motivations.
I have developed my therapeutic approach as an integration of humanistic approaches to human development and growth. This enables the client to experience a sensitive and trusting relationship to work in a collaborative way that promotes recovery and change according to each persons' unique holistic self.
I work with individuals and families systemically and also have experience of group dynamics and the education and training of counsellors and trainee therapists which enables me to continue to review and reflect on my own way of working and personal development.
Practice description
I am a qualified and BACP accredited therapist and supervisor with experience of working in (NHS)CAMHS child and adolescent mental health services. This enabled me to work in a multi agency project to train and work systemically with families and children.I have the experience of working within the schools' counselling service for Canterbury and Thanet (NHS) with primary and secondary pupils, and currently work within a primary school. I have experience of working as a therapist with children and young people in two independent organisations that provide foster care for looked after children. I have worked in private practice for over twenty years and continue to evolve and learn together from the clients I work with to provide a trusting therapeutic relationship.
My first session
The initial introduction of meeting and establishing names and titles to respect client individual identity.
I provide a confidential space and so our discussions can be private and help the client to experience a stable and safe experience to express and communicate. The exceptions are identified so that the safeguarding and risk assessment aspect is explained and provide clarity and boundaries.
I explain I abide by the BACP and BPS Ethical Frameworks which underpin all my work across a range of contemporary issues and ongoing longer term aspects of human experience that clients may bring.
The first session is introducing myself and sharing some of my approach using an integrated therapy influenced by humanistic theories that may be considered rather than one formula for all.
