About me and my therapy practice
I offer supervision for counselling students, qualified counsellors, and other professionals. I have been a counsellor for over 15 years, and have had many different supervisors over this time, I have taken these experiences on board, and developed an integrative approach which allows me to adapt to the individual supervises needs, putting them at the fore front of my thinking in exploring their relationship with their clients. Where you as practitioner can explore your own responses to clients, and anything that happens in your sessions with clients, in a safe confidential space.I completed my training in 2018 and am up to date with latest thinking and research. I believe that clinical supervision can be helpful in many lines of work, not just counselling. I offer face to face sessions in Ryde Isle of Wight, and telephone and online sessions countrywide.

About me and my therapy practice
All of us have times in our lives when we are struggling to cope, and it can be really helpful to speak to someone who is outside of your close network of family and friends. I offer a relaxed, friendly, emotionally warm, safe and confidential space. I believe it takes a lot of courage to take the first step into counselling, to make that call, to text or to send that email, and people come for all kinds of reasons. It's not always traumatic events that bring us to counselling, however big or small your worries are, here is a good place to start.
A good relationship between client and counsellor is one of the most reliable predictors of effective and successful therapy. I have been a counsellor for over 15 years now, working for various organisations. I have experience in working with a range of ages from 5 - 85+ (I now only work with over 18's) with a vast range of issues from Covid related issues, anxiety, generalised anxiety, depression, feeling sad, family issues, low self esteem, low confidence, abuse, bereavement, feeling overwhelmed, feeling lost, and more.
Our aim together would be for us to explore how life is for you, where I will listen with out judgement but with empathy at how you feel , and how you react during certain situations, working towards finding solutions that work for you, based on a self reflective experience, making you more self aware.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I use different models of counselling, weaving them and tailoring them to suit the unique individual needs of each of my clients. This can be either open ended or short term, which we would discuss in our initial consultation.
I believe that when I welcome you to counselling, you leave everything at the door and walk in purely as a human being - no different from me. I offer face to face counselling in Ryde I.O.W, I also work via telephone or online countywide.
