About me and my therapy practice
I have over 12 years qualified supervision experience. With an Integrative Humanistic approach, underpinned with supervision models Inskipp and Proctors’ Tasks of Supervision Model: Normative, Formative and Restorative, and Hawkins and Shohets’ 7 Eyed Supervision Model: Focus on the client, interventions, relationship, therapist process, supervisory relationship, supervisor process and wider context, we can reflect on the multi-dimensional levels of your diverse client work; process ethical dilemmas; ensure safe-guarding is in place; and identify developmental needs. As well as developing and maintaining awareness of your professional and personal self, enabling optimum well-being for both you and your clients.
Whether you are a trainee counsellor, counsellor, supervisor, line manager, carer, teacher, social worker, advisor, therapist, mentor or youth worker etc. working for the welfare of others, YOU are the ‘instrument’ of your trade. To the clientele the relationship is what enables the desired outcomes and growth to take place.
Engage with freshfocus as part of professional integrity and self-care routine.

Practice description
My personal definition of supervision is…"Supervision is a safe and professional alliance to oversee with two hearts, trained minds and life experiences, the exploration of effectiveness and safe practice in the therapeutic relationship".Either online or face to face, we will agree frequency and duration of your supervision. We will work from your agenda to oversee risk, and effectiveness of your client work, as well as consider self-care and professional development.
I enjoy working as an alliance and exploring the energetic and psychological transference that happens in the therapy room and working with this to the benefit of the client and therapeutic process.
My first session
Prior to the first supervision session, I invite the supervisee to complete an initial questionnaire. This is aimed to gain understanding of your theoretical orientation, qualification, and your hopes, expectations and fears in approaching and engaging in supervision.
