I have extensive experience in working with trainee counsellors as both a tutor and clinical supervisor - I currently have availability for trainee counsellors.
About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited clinical supervisor working in the fields of humanistic integrative therapy and CBT. I work either face to face or online, whichever best suits your needs as a supervisee.
I have worked for a number of years as a clinical supervisor for trainee counsellors, both individually and in group supervision. I now also work as a CPCAB tutor at both L4 and L5, which means that I have a good working knowledge of the requirements of both PC-L4 and L5 CBT.
I also work extensively with qualified counsellors based in a range of settings such as schools, NHS services, charities, and in general private practice. Most of my supervisees have been with me for a number of years.
Most of my supervision work involves working with a supervisee for 1.5 hours monthly. Some supervisees like this to be a one off session, others opt for two 45 minute sessions. However I am happy to adapt the amount of supervision provided to meet the needs of the supervisee.
Practice description
My preferred way of working as a supervisor is to use the seven-eyed model. This model enables supervisor and supervisee to explore a number of different aspects around theory and the therapeutic relationship, whilst focussing on ensuring that supervision meets the supervisee's needs in such a way as to ensure that best practice is offered to their clients. My first session
I offer a free 30 minute general assessment session (online), so that the supervisee and I can have a general chat about their supervisory needs. This enables us both to decide whether we feel we can work effectively together.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello, and welcome to my page. My name is Sharon and I have been a counsellor for the past 12 years.
Finding the right counsellor can be daunting. In fact life in general can be fairly daunting at times! My aim as a therapist is to help you work out a way to deal with the anxieties and challenges that life can throw at us. To do this it is important that I provide a safe and non-judgemental space where you can feel free to talk about issues which are troubling you.
I work in a pluralistic manner, which means that together you and I can find the sort of therapy which works best for you. My main training is is Person Centred Work, with elements of Transactional Analysis and Gestalt . I also hold a Diploma in CBT.
I offer 50 minute sessions, provided either face to face or via online video platform , whichever works best for you. The actual number of sessions is down to you, although if you only want a few, then you may prefer us to work together with a CBT or solution focussed framework.
My first session
The first appointment will be a 30 minute free consultation session. This gives you a chance to get to know me and to decide whether you feel comfortable working with me. Having a therapist you like and trust is really important.
